want want want

This year, I've decided to be proactive on the birthday/holiday shopping madness. I'm all about buying presents, but I'm also (unfortunately) all about getting stressed, freaking out about money, and forgetting to buy people shit. Not this year! I'm starting my shopping now, and the only downside is that it's making me want to shop for myself. Case in point:

the luckiest girl at the party.

Ahhhh this past weekend was wonderful, and best re-caped via bullet points:

Thursday night: Jeff's flight got in. After, Jeff, Jon, and I went to Grow Up at 800 Larkin to listen to Fen dj.
Friday: Delicious, romantic dinner at Le Zinc, backyard beers and hilarious conversation at Pam's friend's house in the mission. Jeff's friend, Niki, was in town for the night, so we headed over to the El Rio after, and got waaaaasted.
Saturday: Woke up hungover, sleeping next to Jeff on Jon's living room floor. The 3 of us collected ourselves and made it to brunch with Cheryln at Universal Cafe. OMGod, so delicious! After brunch, Jeff went to play in the park with his boys, I did laundry, cleaned the house, and stopped at 2 different markets in my neighborhood to gather ingredients for a dish to bring to a potluck dinner at Kelsey's that night. Sarah, Kelsey, and I had been organizing the dinner for the last week, and it turned out so lovely! Kelsey lives with her BF, Aaron, in the most beautiful apartment on Telegraph Hill. I felt very sophisticated...until I remembered that I'd been puking up Cheetos in the bushes (too much PBR) the night before...oh well! At 1am, Sarah and Rory dropped Jeff and I off at Thieves, a bar in the mission. We made it there with just enough time to wish Paul a happy birthday and barely make last call, before heading back to Jon's house.
Sunday: Slept in til 12:45! Winners. Cuddled on the couch with Jeff until dinner time. Fritjz for dinner in Hayes Valley, hung out at Jon's house, and then walked Jeff to BART for his flight home.
Jeff flies back into town for labor day on Thursday! Round 2!
