the standards project.

The Standards Project is a simple self-management system.
By creating a checklist with daily expectations, you can gradually sculpt the behavior, the life, that you want. By blogging about it, you are forced to analyze and explain your decisions publicly. The project was created by Jake Lodwick.

I've been felt increasingly disappointed in my lack of time management lately. This website and the attitude motivating it, is both fascinating and frightening. I believe I can accomplish everything I need to do in a day, but it's my own laziness, anxiety, weak will, etc that stops me. I knowingly choose things that are bad for me, and when I'm choosing those things, most of time I'm 100% aware my actions will make me feel bad. What could I accomplish if I held myself to higher standards?

this song almost made me cry on the bus this morning.

i am alive!

Why hello there. My lack of posting has been ridiculous, but I'm motivated to start up again. Why? It's Thanksgiving time! And you know what that means: binge eating and unrealistic expectations for family bonding. Despite holiday stress, I'm totally looking forward to spending this long weekend in LA. I can't wait to see my siblings and my niece, and the parents fly in from Hong Kong on Thursday.

this is hypnotic.

Every single Kramer entrance in chronological order.

Milk, the French child-oriented high-fashion mag for parents.

Clearly, these kids are cooler than I will ever be. Ever.

want want want

This year, I've decided to be proactive on the birthday/holiday shopping madness. I'm all about buying presents, but I'm also (unfortunately) all about getting stressed, freaking out about money, and forgetting to buy people shit. Not this year! I'm starting my shopping now, and the only downside is that it's making me want to shop for myself. Case in point:

MARC BY MARC JACOBS 'Petal to the Metal' Flap Pouchette. Niagra blue. Jeeeeeez!
